Reviewer Policies

To ensure ethical standards and best practices of scholarly publishing, Measurement Instruments for the Social Sciences (MISS) has implemented a set of policies. All peer reviewers are expected to follow MISS Reviewer Policies. These policies concern:

  1. Competing Interests: Reviewers are asked to disclose potential competing interests before agreeing to review a paper.
  2. Confidentiality, Trustworthiness, and Principles of Good Practice: Reviewers must treat any information obtained through review confidential, they must respect the intellectual property of the authors and are expected to follow principles of good peer review.
  3. Use of Artificial Intelligence: The use of AI tools during the peer review process is prohibited.
